my name is lucy kalantari. you might know me as Luciar. or lucytoon. as the musician in your building. as the ukulele rock n’ roll star. (ok, that last part is still being worked on.)

i’ve been playing piano and writing songs since i was 7-years-old, and i haven’t stopped. i have a few albums floating around on this earth: with the band Distance we released, Big Chunks of Goodness. when we parted ways, i became Luciar. as Luciar, i’ve released Rules of the Game and six years later, released Skin.

during the making of Skin, i was reminded of my affinity for production, and opened that aspect of my life again. using logic on my mac, some old but decent outboard gear, i’ve released  Ode to the Ego under the band named Elwood Emission.

i’ve also picked up the ukulele. why? ’cause it’s cute and little. and i can reach the strings. and it’s really cool sounding when you put it through distortion.
